Ben Loong (b. 1988, Singapore) works in the medium of painting and sculpture and takes a diaristic approach to artmaking, seeking to capture the fleeting moment through his work.

Following a fascination with geography and the natural world, his current Terra Blanca series examines geographical and geological phenomena, and considers it in the context of contemporary society. Working primarily with drywall plaster, these works engage with the material, thereby inviting the viewer to question the value systems of our contemporary society. Textures in the work are deliberate reiterations of marks and patterns observed in the physical environment, as a means of highlighting commonalities across scale and the material.

Loong currently lives and works in Singapore.
